The one with a little bit of art and a whole lotta organics.

Meet May’s Clean Beauty Box from Art of Organics.  Founder, Claire Molyneaux, first created Art of Organics as a personal project because she suffered from skin sensitivities and allergies.  Through researching and learning, she turned her personal beauty transition into a mission to help others learn that beauty products does not have to sacrifice with one’s health.  This was the birth of the Clean Beauty Box.  It is a mixture of artfully beautiful packaging and clean effective luxurious beauty products.

At Art of Organics, the “Clean Beauty Box is a ‘love letter’ to the importance of the self-care ritual.”  If you’re new to #greenbeauty or a longtime fan looking for new nontoxic beauty products to try out, the team at Art of Organics has done the work for y’all.  Each nontoxic product is carefully picked out to create a luxe beauty experience for y’all.

Here’s how the Clean Beauty Box works.  It is a monthly subscription box that typically contains 2-4 full sized nontoxic natural products.  Instead of receiving samples like other beauty subscription boxes, Art of Organics wants y’all to fully focus on the particular products for that month.  Cause y’all know, sometimes using a product for 1 week just doesn’t cut it and definitely not enough to know how your skin will react and adjust to it.  Every month, these products are artfully wrapped in eco-friendly packaging straight to your doorstep (or mailbox).

Currently, there are two subscription box options:

  • For a single monthly plan with auto-renewal, your box will cost you $38.
  • For a 6 month plan with auto-renewal every 6 months, your subscription will be $216 up front. So if ya break it down, it’s only $36 a month.

art_of_organics_may_clean_beauty_boxNow onto the goodies from the Clean Beauty Box.  🙂  My May box featured 2 full sized beauty products, 1 travel sized skincare goodie, and an accessory.  Let’s beginning…

art_of_organics_may_swbasics_body_scrubLet’s do skincare first!!!  I received the mini sized S.W. Basics Body Scrub, which I can’t wait to start using.  I’ve been seeing S.W. Basics products at my local Target, so I was very excited to see this gem in the box.  S.W. Basics says this body scrub is dessert for the skin and being that it’s made with USDA certified ingredients, I really couldn’t agree more.  With summer approaching (and warmer weather), this body scrub comes at the perfect time to help exfoliate my legs and get my tan on.  I’m ready for some beach days!

S.W. Basics Body Scrub travel size 0.7oz.

Full ingredients:  Organic Demerara Sugar, Organic Extra-Virgin Coconut Oil, Organic Shredded Coconut

art_of_organics_may_hyntbeauty_bronzing_powderNow, let’s get our beauty on!!!  Another product I was excited to see in the box was Hynt Beauty’s Solare Bronzing Powder.  Not too long ago, Hynt Beauty had a special sale on  I took advantage of the awesome deal and bought a few makeup products.  I was on the fence about purchasing a bronzing powder just because I’m new to bronzing and I’m pretty light skinned so I was reluctant to buy it.  So when I saw this in the box, I knew it was meant to be.  Can’t wait to actually use it for the first time.  🙂

Hynt Beauty Solare Bronzing Powder full size 0.12oz.

Full ingredients:  Mica, Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide, May contain: Ultramarine Blue and Manganese Violet.

art_of_organics_may_vapour_halo_illuminatorLet’s continue onward with beauty!!!  A completely new product (not new brand) to me was Vapour Organic Beauty’s Halo Illuminator.  I’m iffy on this product just because I really don’t like using a highlighter.  My oily skin just doesn’t like highlighting at all.  To me, the oiliness of my skin already acts like an unwanted highlighter, accentuating my facial features that need it but also parts of face I don’t want attraction to.  I’m really debating whether or not I will actually use this or give it away.  If y’all have any tips, suggestions, or advice, I highly appreciate em.  🙂

Vapour Organic Beauty Halo Illuminator full size 0.24oz.

Full ingredients:  Organic Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Organic Cera Alba (Beeswax), Mica, Silica, Castor Isostearate Beeswax Succinate*, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E), Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Fruit/Leaf/Stem Extract, Canarium Luzonicum (Elemi) Gum Nonvolatiles, Wildcrafted Commiphora Myrrha (Myrrh) Gum Oil, Wildcrafted Boswellia Carteri (Frankincense) Gum, Organic Ocimum Sanctum (Tulsi/Holy Basil) Leaf Extract, Organic Nelumbo Nucifera (Lotus) Leaf Extract, Pogostemon Cablin Oil, [+/–: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, 77492, 77499), Carmine (CI 75470)]       *Eco Cert Ingredient

art_of_organics_may_baudelaire_sisal_wash_clothFor the finale, the Clean Beauty Box included a Baudelaire Wash Cloth Sisal.  This product and brand was completely new to me.  If y’all don’t know about it either, the wash cloth is made from 100% renewable sisal fiber.  It is a light facial scrub that gives a gentler exfoliation to the skin.  Unlike konjac sponges, this cloth can be machine washed and dried to make future uses.  Sounds interesting, yes?!?
