The one delivering healthy beauty and natural wellness.

Meet February’s goodbeing box from goodbeing.  It’s literally as simple as that.  They were once formerly known as goodebox and have been curating boxes since December 2011.  In goodbeing box, you can discover “expertly curated, healthy beauty products, non-toxic cosmetics, natural wellness & sustainable, toxin-free living goods.”  Like with many other subscription boxes out there, they offer trial sized products and occasional full sized item to see, learn, and try out.  At goodbeing, they take pride in curating their monthly boxes.  They carefully screen ingredients lists and evaluate for effective results.  I think it’s the perfect subscription box to join if y’all are transitioning into #greenbeauty or what little beauty change.

When y’all become a member, y’all will fill out a questionnaire to help access the right products that fits your needs.  (Cause I dislike when I receive items suitable for dry skin even though my skin is oily.  Not fun!).  So, y’all will notice that products selected for the month are generally similar but may vary amongst members.  This is how it works:

  • Decide- if goodbeing is a good fit for you.
  • Choose- your goodbeing membership plan.
  • Profile- fill out your member profile.
  • Receive- your box.
  • Buy- your new favorite products.

Prices are tiered based on which membership plan y’all decide is right for y’all needs (and budget).

  • For a single monthly plan, your box will cost you $21 + free shipping.
  • For a 3 month plan, your subscription will be $60 up front + free shipping. So if ya break it down, it’s only $20 a month.
  • For a 6 month plan, your subscription will be $144 up front + free shipping. So if ya break it down, it’s only $19 a month.
  • For a whole 12 month plan, your subscription will be $216 up front + free shipping. So if ya break it down, it’s only $18 a month.  It’s their best value, but it’s a hefty initial payment.

goodbeing_subscription_boxNow let’s get into the good stuff from goodbeing.  🙂  My February box featured 6 travel sized skincare goodies, 1 full sized beauty product, an accessory, and cute little product cards with further descriptions of each product.  Which should I start with first?!?  Hmmm…

goodbeing_vapour_plumping_elixir_bittenLet’s do beauty!!!  I received the full sized Vapour Organic Beauty Elixir Plumping Lip Gloss.  goodbeing offered only 5 shades in: Bitten, Suite, Delite, Tickle, and Mischief.  The one I received was Bitten, which is a deep red color.  I’m very glad I got this one because I’m definitely not a light pink lips typa girl.  (I personally think it makes teeth look yellower, definitely not flattering.)  Vapour Organic Beauty describes bitten as “deep cherry red stain.”  I couldn’t agree more.  Their elixir plumping lip gloss line contains plumping liposomes to lock in moisture but not leaving a sticky feeling on your lips.  They’re all made with 100% natural ingredients, which in my books is a huge deal.  Bitten is a perfect evening lip color to wear, whether you’re on a hot date or a girls’ night out.

goodbeing_kahina_givingbeauty_brightening_serumLet’s continue onward!!!  I was very excited for this next one because I had used the brand before, and I like it a lot.  I didn’t just get 1 sample product of Kahina Giving Beauty Brightening Serum, in fact, I received 3 samples sachets of it.  Initially, I thought I was getting 3 different sample sachets of 3 different products, but I was looking through the product cards provided and noticed only 1 product card for Kahina Giving Beauty.  Uhhh, duh, cause it’s the exact same product.  Kahina Giving Beauty say the brightening serum will reduce hyperpigmentation, post-acne spots, and any discoloration within 4 to 6 weeks (exactly, this is how long products should be tested for to experience it’s maximum benefits).  It will also refine the skin’s texture, increase luminosity, boost radiance, and prevent future discolorations.  I’m super happy to try this out.  I’ve been on a long battle against hyperpigmentation with some success, but I hoping this brightening serum will do the trick.

Kahina Giving Beauty Brightening Serum 3 samples 0.5ml.

The advanced brightening is a cream that’s proven to lighten and fade discolorations.  At Shea Radiance, they use active brightening ingredients such as vitamin B3, vitamin C, and pumpkin extract to effectively and gently brighten the skin.  They also use algae extracts, baobob oil, and shea butter to moisture the skin and leave it feeling hydrated.  I’m just not sure if this is the body cream for me.  I actually rather fair to light skin.  I really don’t need much brightening, but I could use some tanning.  🙂

The advanced firming is also cream that’s proven to firm, tone, moisture the skin.  At Shea Radiance, they use skin firming ingredients such as vitamin B3, collagen peptides, caffeine extract, and kigelia to tone and tighten the skin.  This body cream will also help increase collagen and elastin renewal and retain moisture leaving the skin feeling hydrated.  Now this is a definitely try out body cream.  Yes please!  Please tone and firm my cellulite legs.  🙂

goodbeing_rafiki_braceletLastly, the accessory.  I’m really not a jewelry girl, but if it’s for a good cause y’all can count me in!  I received the Me to We Health Rafiki Bracelet.  Each jewelry piece is handcrafted by a woman in Kenya in hopes for building a better future for herself and her family.  The health rafiki gives one month of healthcare to a child in a developing community.  It can be worn as a necklace, bracelet, anklet, and many more (just your creative juices flowing).  I absolutely love the health rafiki.  Coming from a medical background, I believe every child deserves the proper and needed healthcare to grow up strong.  You never know the endless possibilities in children nowadays.  They can start a new business, continue to be a cruelty free advocate, or even end hunger around the world.  Go get yoself one and support a good cause. 🙂
