The one that’s changing the body polish game.
Meet Body Polish No. 1 Lemongrass & Poppy Seed from Clover & Bee. Remember that expo I’ve mentioned many many times, the one I attended back in January here in LA, ya know, the Indie Beauty Expo. Well, Clover & Bee is another one of those brands I stumbled upon while walking the rows of #ibela2017.
I was fortunate enough to meet with the founder herself, Christy Nichols. She was kind enough to tell me the story behind Clover & Bee, and it starts at home. As a mother first, Christy wanted to create a body exfoliation after her daughter developed extremely dry skin. It just so happened that they have a beehive in their backyard, so Christy started experimenting with honey to perfect the unique formulation that would create the amazing Clover & Bee Body Polish.
The unique body polish consists of granulated honey, that right, y’all read that correctly, granulated honey. It’s honey that’s been crystalized into the consistency similar to white sugar but still has the antimicrobial and antiseptic properties of honey. Since learning of granulated honey, I’ve become obsessed with it. Not only is it a great body exfoliant base like that of the Clover & Bee Body Polish, but it’s an alternative to conventional sweeteners. 🙂
Back to the body polish though. 🙂 The Clover & Bee Body Polish now comes in four flavors (inedible flavors that is):
- 1 – Lemongrass & Poppy Seed
- 2 – Lavender & Bergamot
- 3 – Grapefruit & Jasmine
- 4 – Hibiscus & Raspberry
I was fortunate to get my hands on No. 1 Lemongrass & Poppy Seed, and I love it. It’s a feel game changer for me when it comes to body exfoliants. To be honest, I’m not a huge body scrub kinda person, but I do it every once in a while cause just gotta do it. 🙂 However, the Clover & Bee Body Polish makes me wanna exfoliate on a more frequent basis. When I get a hold of something good, just wow I tell y’all, wow!!! 🙂
I love this body polish cause it’s the perfect balance between exfoliation and hydration. I’ve used body scrubs that “melt away” with the slightly amount of water, so it’s difficult to use in-shower. I’ve used body scrubs that leave my skin too exfoliated. I’ve even used body scrubs that do more hydration power and leaves an oily residue once it’s rinsed off. But this body polish right here, gives the perfect amount of exfoliation with a nice moisturized feel. All thanks to the granulated honey mixed with granulated sugar and the super moisturizing oils of babassu and macadamia nut. Y’all are the real body polish MVP. 🙂
But what sets the No. 1 Lemongrass & Poppy Seed apart from the other 3 flavors is the scent of course. And don’t get me started on the scent, y’all know how important scent is to me—the power of scent is incredible. Lemongrass is just so uplifting and also has great skincare benefits on its own (but let’s save that for another day). 🙂
I feel like I’m blabbing way too much, but it’s cause I really love and enjoyed this product way too much! So much so that it’s all gone. 🙂 If y’all are body scrub lovers, looking to find a new one, or gonna be a first timer, I highly suggest checking out the Clover & Bee Body Polish. I loved it, and I’m sure y’all will too! 🙂
