The one worth buzzing about.
Meet Wildflower Honey, Propolis Throat Spray, Natural Beeswax Lip Tint from Savannah Bee Company. This was another company I met at Natural Expo West, and I’m so glad I stopped by. Cause I love honey! 🙂 It has so many great benefits, it’s a natural sweetener, and it just tastes great. 🙂
But of course, the first line of business is the honey itself. The Savannah Bee Company’s Wildflower Honey comes of their local region of Savannah, Georgia. It’s a pure and raw honey that’s “collected from White Holly, Gallberry, a little Sawtooth palmetto, or maybe Tulip Poplar.” I always recommend buying local honey because of its great health benefits. For one, local honey aids in immune support. 🙂 But I was definitely eager to check out the honey from the trees and flowers of Georgia. Lucky for me, wildflower is my most fave honey variety. 🙂 I love the crispness and slight sweetness. It’s perfect for just about any food application. Since living a conscious holistic lifestyle, I’ve shied away of artificial and processed sweeteners. So hence, I’ve been using honey to sweeten up my teas and desserts. I specially love it in my tea. 🙂 A mug of green tea with a touch of this Wildflower Honey is exactly what I need, always! 🙂 I also love to drizzle honey on my toast for a sweet factor or a pinch of it in my salad dressing. Y’all really can’t do wrong with high quality honey like that of Savannah Bee Company. This honey is also Gluten free and KSA Kosher Certified. How do y’all use y’all’s honey? Let me know below. 🙂
Next up is the Savannah Bee Company Propolis Throat Spray in Strong and Minty. I was definitely intrigued by this one the most. 🙂 I suffer from seasonal allergies, so this year, I sought to treat it using natural remedies. Like I mentioned before, local honey aids in immune support and can possibly desensitize pollen triggers (if y’all are allergic to pollen). I did use a local honey from the Los Angeles County, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to amp up the immune boosters. 🙂 The Propolis Throat Spray contains propolis and Echinacea, two active ingredients to support the immune system. According to the Savannah Bee Company, “[p]ropolis is a sophisticated substance that honey bees create by collecting resins produced by plants and combining them with enzymes and beeswax. Propolis is known for its outstanding antimicrobial properties and serves as the honey bee colony’s immune system.” While Echinacea is used “to strengthen the body’s immune system and Pelargonium Root to support respiratory health. Our Propolis Throat Spray is rich in vitamins and antioxidants.” I have been using this for the past few months (not consistently though), but I feel a difference in my symptoms this year than in previous years. All good differences—I feel like I have less sneezing attacks, less watery eyes, less itchy nose, and I just feel better overall during this pollinating season. 🙂 The Propolis Throat Spray comes in two flavors: Strong and Minty Propolis Throat Spray or Sweet and Minty Honey Propolis Throat Spray. I chose the Strong and Minty cause I love minty flavors, but I wish I had tried the Sweet and Minty cause of the added honey benefits. J
Full ingredients: Propolis, Echinacea Angustifolia, Pelargonium Root, Spearmint essential oil, grain alcohol.
Lastly, for another little treat, here’s the Savannah Bee Company Natural Beeswax Lip Tint in Honey Ginger. I’m a sucker for tinted lip balms, so I knew I had to try theirs. It’s very nourishing and moisturizing on the lips. And the color, it’s sheer but absolutely buildable, which is why I love tinted lip balms so much. I can control the color I want on my lips—sometimes a sheer natural color is what I’m looking for to complete my look, while other times I want a bold and dramatic lip color. 🙂 Btw, the lip tints are “gluten-free and contain no petroleum, parabens, or animal testing.”
They actually have 3 different tinted, and I was very difficult for me choose just one. So I figured it choose something a lil out of my comfort zone lippie shade and went for the Honey Ginger. The Savannah Bee Company describes it as a warm spice—“[a] warm coral tint with a slightly matte finish.” It’s a beautiful shade, but for me, it’s more fitting for autumn. So I can’t wait to start using more of it when the weather starts to cool down. 🙂
The other shades they carry:
- Blackberry Shimmer (deep rose): One-shade-fits-all cranberry tint with a shimmery finish.
- Peach Blossom Shimmer (soft pink): Barely-there pink tint with a hint of shimmer
